SGF Donation Guide

This list was created by Becky Jean, a member of Gathering Friends.

Here is a list of places you can take items where they will be used and not sold for profit. Make sure all items are in good condition. Nothing stained, broken, torn, missing pieces, etc. Please look up their address and donation times on Google or Facebook.

*Sammy’s window: Springfield, size infant to teen clothing, shoes, backpacks, (new) hygiene items, school supplies

*Restoration of Hope: Springfield, adult men’s clothing, shoes, travel size hygiene items, mwth 830-6, tf 830-4

*Harmony House: Springfield, women’s and kids clothing, shoes, kitchen supplies, housewares, bedding, full size hygiene items, towels, makeup

*Republic Pregnancy Resource Center: Baby and maternity items, games, toys, kids clothes

*The Connecting Grounds: Springfield, anything you would use while camping (they provide items to homeless camps), single serve food, tarps, bug spray, sunscreen, adult clothing fit for camping (nothing fancy), tennis shoes, adult books. Mon Noon-4 PM, T/Th 8 am- 4 PM, Sat 8-12

*Passion House Project: Springfield, all household items. Silverware, furniture, sheets, towels, lamps, shelves, rugs, small kitchen appliances, dressers, etc

*Veteran’s coming home center: Springfield, same things as Connecting Grounds

*Rare breed: Springfield, provides items for at risk youth, snacks, single serve food, adult and kid clothing, hygiene items, towels

*YouthConnect Center: Springfield, everyday type clothes for teens aged 13-18. Snacks, single serve food items, hygiene. M-F 3-8pm, 425 W McDaniel

*The kitchen: Springfield, provides items for homeless people getting off the streets and into homes, ANYTHING you would need for a house, cleaning supplies, trash cans, wall decor, furniture, lamps

*Christmas trees for hope: Springfield, all Christmas items, trees, decorations

*Suit Yourself: Springfield, business clothing and shoes for women

*People Helping People in Republic: adult and kids clothing, bags, shoes, box/can food, hygiene items, bedding, kitchen items. Tue 9-12

*Connie’s Critters: Springfield, accepts stuffed animals

*Child Advocacy Center: Springfield, accepts stuffed animals

*Animal shelters: accepts stuffed animals that don’t have beaded eyes or beads on the inside, blankets, towels, heating pads/blankets, any animal items

*Fair haven: glenstone and Bennett, thrift store but profits support foster kids in Strafford

*Sisters in Christ: Springfield, women’s clothes

*Neat Repeat: Ozark, money goes to local breast cancer patients. boutique thrift store. 1936 W Retail Ln in Ozark, and 313 E Battlefield. W-Sat 10a-7p

*Abundant blessings: Nixa. Clothing for kids aged newborn to 18, 726 Center Circle m-w 6-8pm, or aldersgate united methodist m-f 8-4

*Freeway ministries: Springfield, adult/kids clothes, purses, belts, coats, shoes, thermal, winter gear, tents, tarps, sleeping bags, backpack, rolling suitcases, blankets, towels, washcloths, kitchen towels, sheets, shower curtain, curtain, bibles. tues 10-2, sat 4-530, 1041 W Kearney, back of building at glass doors

*Victory Mission: springfield, will accept all items, clothing needs to be seasonal, 700 w chase

*Inspired boutique: Springfield, proceeds help abilities first, jewelry, clothes, collectibles, household items, furniture, call to arrange pickup for larger items

*For the kids: 508 oak st, Aurora, hygiene items, car seats, kids beds, for foster kids, sat 9-4

*Next to New: Springfield, consignment, even nice clothes, Tue-fri 11-5, sat 10-4. 416 S Kimbrough

*Career center: Springfield, career clothes, only current season

*LeighAnne’s closet: Republic, will accept anything except large furniture, appliances and used car seats. The money that comes from donations goes to the pregnancy center. They offer free items to people in serious need, and offer a 50/50 consignment if you’d like them to sell your items for you.

*Wash House: Springfield. Tell them it’s for The PTA Clothing Bank. They accept school aged clothes, shoes, coats, (new) socks/underwear. They cannot use infant items. ANY school aged child can get free clothes and shoes. The PTA closet is open on certain Thursdays and Saturdays, check their Facebook page for exact dates

*Ambassadors for Children: Springfield, all formal wear, dresses, suits, heels, men’s dress shoes, fancy jewelry, fancy purses, anything for prom. Any student can get FREE prom gear here!

*Price Tag & Locker 518: Republic, accepts school aged clothing, shoes, (new) socks and underwear. FREE clothing stores located at Price Elementary are open to ALL PK-12 grade Republic students. Items can be dropped off at the school office during school hours, or contact Erin.Wayt@republicschools.org

*First Baptist Church of Ozark: Ozark, Seasonal clearance items, underwear, socks, clothes, school supplies, hygiene items (bar soap, washcloths, soft toothbrushes), stuffed animals, dolls, toys & games. MW 9a-1215p, T 6-730p

*Isabel’s House: Springfield, they provide immediate refuge for kids aged newborn to 12 years old whose families are experiencing a crisis. Size infant to teen clothing, shoes, backpacks, (new) hygiene items, school supplies

*Nana’s Angel Gowns: Springfield, accepts wedding dresses that you don’t mind getting cut up. She makes gowns for stillborn babies

*Habitat for Humanity: Springfield, accepts building materials, furniture, appliances, bricks/stones, light fixtures, mirrors, sinks, flooring, tools, rugs, metal bed frames, doors, electrical items, hardware, commercial offices/restaurants/retail store items, etc. Mon-Sat 9-5. Can schedule a free pick up

-Renewed Treasures: Springfield, thrift store profits go to ladies getting control of their lives back and learning a better way of life. They accept furniture, boutique clothes, houseware, appliances, food items, cleaning supplies, toys, children’s clothes

-Medical Blessings: Nixa/Ava. Takes mobility equipment in working condition, items are cleaned and given out for free to people who can’t afford these items. (Wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs, canes, shower bars, transfer chairs, knee scooters, walkers with seats… just about anything medical mobility related). Pick up once a week in Nixa. She works out of a storage unit in Ava, MO… but services Green, Webster, Wright, Douglas and Christian counties.
