Options available for Men, Women, and Families

Offers sober living houses to meet the needs of a variety of individuals who are overcoming addiction with 7 houses currently in the Springfield, MO area. The houses are democratically run, self-supporting, and drug-free homes which allows for a remarkably effective, low-cost method of preventing relapse.

Any recovering alcoholic or drug addict can apply to get into an Oxford House by calling which will include being interviewed by the existing members of the house.

Hope Homes of the Ozarks

Men's and Women’s Programs Available

Offers an intense, faith-based nine-month residential discipleship and recovery program. The Hope Homes minister to adults dealing with many different issues or situations such as post-incarceration, addiction, sex trafficking, and homelessness.

Program includes Bible reading, prayer, church attendance, community service, volunteering, mentorship, work projects, and personal spiritual development, in addition to a variety of classes including relapse prevention, reintegration, art therapy, anger management, and a financial freedom class taught by a local banker.

To be accepted into the program, applicants must first go through an application and interview process.

Clean Sweep Ministries

Women Only Program

Provides women with a structured, yet transitional environment. Faith-based program focused on developing a personal relationship with Christ, becoming accountable in day-to-day activities, creating a faith-work life balance, staying clean from addictive substances, and developing a support network outside the home so that when a woman is ready to transition, they will have the tools they need to be successful already put in place.

Program participants are required to be employed, submit to random UA screenings, and meet all program requirements and legal obligations.

The program entrance fee is $300, which covers the application process, interview, and first two weeks’ program fees. After that, program fees are $100/week which must be paid in advance. For further questions, please reach out to the director, Ms. Holland.

Freeway Minstries


Offers Programs for both Men and Women

Providing safe and supportive Christ-centered environments for both men and women to develop their walk with the Lord. The discipleship program is designed around the principle found in the scripture. While in this program it is believed that sobriety is the first step for success; their program believes discipleship is the key to life-long change.

The male and female programs are both 12-month residential treatment programs.

Due to program guidelines and restrictions, Freeway cannot accept women with children or those who are expecting

Minimum 12-month sober living program offering both faith-based and secular recovery programs. Medically Assisted Treatment friendly. Clients reside in a structured, supportive environment with rules that are designed for participant recovery, safety, compliance, and accountability. Each home has a house leader and an assistant who are available 24/7 to provide assistance and ensure compliance.

Clients are expected to work and attend classes, groups, meetings, and/or church services regularly. Being an active part of the community is important to most; therefore, it is considered essential for clients to participate in various volunteer activities.

Recovery Chapel


Men Only Program

Provides long-term sober living support services for men who have a history of substance use disorders. The minimum stay is six months, though many clients decide to stay longer. The program spotlights four primary life needs: sobriety, housing, employment, and social connectivity. The spiritual teaching is Christ-centered and 12-step, with the goal to see participants find a godly path and begin giving back to the community.

Rooms are shared and include weekly or monthly participation fees which are paid in advance. The program fee is either $90 weekly or $360 monthly, except where meals are included for $105 weekly or $420 monthly at the Bennett House. Any money deposited on your behalf is fully refundable if you choose not to participate in the program.

Recovery Chapel does accept sex offenders on a case-by-case basis; however, you must be honest and open with an attached letter that describes your entire sexual offense history.

Higher Ground Recovery Center

Men’s and Women’s Programs Available

Higher Ground Recovery House’s purpose is to see people flourish and mature together in a relationship with God while being taught the necessary tools to live a healthy and abundant life of sobriety while also fulfilling their God-given purpose. The mission of HGRH is to provide a safe and positive living environment from a Christian perspective for men and women who want to overcome their addictions and learn to live life sober.

The goal is to assist house members to progress at their own pace until they are able to adequately address their own needs and become self-sufficient through the use of community-based support systems such as the local church, faith-based recovery supports, Christ-centered 12-step groups, AA, NA, and other self-help groups.

Their sober-living program has no time commitment with the primary requirement being a desire and determination to live a drug and alcohol-free, God-centered lifestyle. House members can choose to stay for as long or as little as they need.

Straight Street, Inc.

Men’s and Women’s Programs Available

Nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people with substance abuse disorder and other life-controlling issues learn to live healthy and productive lives through structured and supportive recovery housing that follows the social model of recovery. Offers both men’s and women’s recovery houses that are peer-led and structured with a specific set of community standards designed by leaders who have lived experience and are now in long-term recovery.

Straight Street partners with the North Side Recovery Community Center to offer a wide range of programs including parenting, relapse prevention, peer-support meetings, recovery coaching, job training, and pro-social activities.
