We are excited to release a new community resource. It is an app that we have built called Shelter SGF. It is designed to help improve communication for our neighbors in need about when shelters are open, what shelters are open, and how to access them this winter.
It also includes the entire bank of resources from Springfield MO Poverty.com and a form that community members can use to reach out to our outreach teams - either for themselves or for someone in need that they see.
We plan to continue adding to and improving this tool by including a live bed tracker for shelter spaces in our community that can be used by those in need of shelter and law enforcement, hospitals, and service providers.
