Springfield ACES Study Event
Over the course of 2021, the TCG team did a study of Springfield’s unsheltered population. We created a survey that provided us with the ACE (Adverse Childhood Experience) score of the individual, as well as information on common outcomes for people with high-trauma backgrounds.
The results of this study shed light on the long-term effects of trauma on mind, body, relationships, economic status, education, and criminal history.
This is a free event; however, registration is required due to limited space and social distancing.

Racial Trauma Virtual Event
Join TCG’s Faith & Trauma Institute with special instructor Ally Henny for a discussion about the effects of racial trauma in faith spaces. Following this presentation, there will be a Q&A panel with Ally and other faith leaders. In the last hour of this online event, guests will be able to choose from four different breakout sessions with panel participants:
Activism as Discipleship: Ally Henny and Emily Hahn
Finding and Creating Safe Faith Spaces for Black Believers: Shurita Thomas Tate and Tracey Wolf
Creating an Anti-Racist culture in predominantly white faith spaces: Phil Snider and Christie Love
Anti-Racism in youth and kids programing: Keke Rover, Holly Madden and Amanda Leach
Faith leaders are encouraged to attend to learn about practical ways to make their churches safe for Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color while honoring their unique trauma.
